Helge Hem was re-elected as chairman of Dakota Norway during the annual meeting for 2020, which was held at Torp Hotel on Saturday, August 14, 2021. 26 members were present.

Annual report and the accounts, which showed a profit of NOK 532462, were approved. approved. The good result is not least due to the Corona support we received from the authorities for loss of revenue in the 2020 season. But also other good support contributions have come in from associations and private individuals.

The board of directors now consists of Helge Hem, Ted Bugge, Treasurer, Gunnar Arnekleiv, Operations Manager, Rune Valestrand, Technical Manager, Jostein Selvikvåg, financial support, Dagfinn Eriksen, booking, Svein Devik, Trond Hogner, Martin Nilsen, press contact/secretary, Tom L. Nielsen and Baard Løken, deputies.

Håkon Nørholm and Ole Mørch are auditors, and Eivind Raade and Tore Hansen make up the nomination committee.

Five honorary awards

The board of Dakota Norway has established an honorary prize that is awarded at irregular intervals.

For the the year 2020, a total of five honorary awards, consisting of a letter of thanks, flowers flowers and a beautiful painting of the Dakota departing from Torp, were awarded.

The honorary award went to Nina Konow for many years of effort with one of the most important coffee, waffles, soft drinks and sausages - in short, the kiosk sales kiosk sales that help to shorten the waiting time before you get to your seat on the plane.

Much-needed funds

Randi Andersen also received an honorary award for ensuring that spare parts or entire engines for overhauls have arrived safely back and forth across the Atlantic and that customs and tax requirements have been kept in perfect order. For many years, she has also ensured that the Dak Shop has had a wide range of souvenirs, which in turn has provided Dakota Norway with much-needed funds.


Aircraft and buildings

Thorbjørn Larsen, who was both chairman and board member for several years, also received an honorary award. He took on the job of ensuring that the hangar and clubhouse were and are in perfect order. He has also been the driving force behind the Torp Fighter Collection. He has faithfully ensured that the Dakota has appeared freshly polished and shiny every spring. For many years, he has been responsible for ensuring that the flight program has had as few dead spots as possible, giving members the opportunity to experience many highlights at home and abroad.

Large book work


Lars Gagnum, who has served as a board member, pilot and instructor in the Foundation, also received an honorary award, having written the Foundation's extensive internal book Operational Manuals, built up the modern website and run it. Tore Hansen and Lars Gagnum were not present and will therefore receive their awards later. Helge Hem concluded the annual meeting by encouraging all members to follow the website
